I figured I'd cross post my camper roof repair here. I've been detailing it on the popup camper forum I frequent, but thought you guys and gals might get a kick out of it.

The backstory is that Coleman / Fleetwood popup campers had one piece, molded ABD roofs from the late 90s till mid 2000s. The roofs are an outer and inner ABS skin with a foam core. In a stroke of engineering genius, Fleetwood chose an ABS plastic that eventually brittles and cracks after years in UV sunlight. 'Cause campers never sit outdoors, right?

The roofs fall under warranty if you're the original owner, and IF the company was still in business. As the second owner, one would cost me over $4,000 IF I could find it. The GRM solution is to recoat it in a DIY bedliner product, but I'd never found a really detailed write-up on it, so I decided to do one.

As a bonus, you can see a lot of my shop in the pics.

FWIW, Rhino Linings had a similar idea and now have a product designed for RV roofs.
