I has Jelly.. Love your workspace by the way. Will be watching with interest!
Your balls... they're so...big.
I'm not sure I could do that to what appeared to be a lovely E46, but I admire you for doing it.
Ok, i guess it is to late to turn back now....this E46 M3 is getting scary. today removed headlights, bumpercover, fenders, #$%^& heater core, windsheild wiper motor, why is it i always need a big hammer to remove a heater core?
pictures will have to tell the story, i am dizzy from banging my head on the steering coloumn @$%^&(
One definition of a race car is a car with all the optional bits removed. Looks like you are getting closer.
I see that you pulled at least one of those plastic bits that I asked about in my thread. Did you find out what they are? Looking at it I think they are ground junction points, but who knows.

if you mean the flat plastic panels with all the brown wire those are ground bars
This pic reminded me:
Go here and follow these instructions BEFORE you put the dash back in. It will be so much easier to drill out the one bolt you need to cut the way it is now.
wacker, thanks for the tip i will disable it before the cage, Cuda, i dont mind doing this kind of work either as long as it goes as planned, the car would start with only the gauge cluster plugged in before, so i hope that is the case after this phase is completed as for the EWS, i had to look that up, at this point i do not plan on bypassing it, i just want to get all the uneeded wires out and cross my fingers it will restart....stay tuned.
this thing will start and run just like this nothing plugged in, gauges, switchs etc gonna need a new radiator, oil cooler etc....
When you run it without the gauge cluster make sure the alternator is still charging the battery. On some BMWs, the battery will drain if the cluster is not plugged in.
i am planning on using the MXL Strada with a direct plug to the ecu, i wonder if i will have this problem......can you run your brake lights right off the switch behind the pedal??? i have screwed up my brake lights?
