We had nice weather yesterday, so I went to a cars and coffee in the morning and then we stashed the hard top in my buddy's truck and went exploring. Ended up driving about 270miles in total by the time we made it back to the hotel. I love this dumb little car possibly too much.
And yes my phone camera still sucks.

Time for Golfball's last adventure for a while. Going back to Kentucky for 2 days of autocross, then parking it for a while and bringing the truck with me back to Detroit.
Car made it home from Detroit with no issues, then today I went to an autox test and tune at NCM. Car did great there too. I opted to leave the PA31s on partly out of laziness and partly because I thought getting a lot of runs in with a lower grip tire might be a decent learning tool. I lost of count how many runs I got in by the time I called quits. Car behaved like the suspiciously good crappy Miata it is and I felt like I left with a bit better handle on how to drive the car than when I went in. All in a solid day. I'm registered to go back for the points event tomorrow but I'm more than likely going to opt of it. It's been a big weekend and a chill day before I go back to Detroit sounds really nice.

You should swap tires, then run tomorrow's event, so you have a good a/b experience driving both sets.

Solid idea. If I had thought more clearly I probably would have signed up for both sessions today instead of the event tomorrow, and then swapped tires between sessions. I also thought I was going to wind up being up late Friday thrashing on my truck, but that ended up not happening and now we're here.
So I Ieft Detroit Thursday afternoon thinking my Miata needed help and the truck was going back with me. Well now I don't own a truck and even after beating the crap out of it Saturday it doesn't seem to really be that upset. So I guess the car's going back north now.
2nd day back in Detroit, car made the return trip with 0 issues. Also got my phone camera fixed today, so have a new picture of Goflball you can actually see.

Mom managed to back her Durango into Golfball today. Somehow it looks like the Durango got the worst of it. I do however need to find a tail light now I guess.
