Just picked it up today. $1006.50 on the nose. Needed towed because two weeks ago the owner noticed some knocking and immediately shut it down. Remarkably clean for a $1000 car.
Plan is to open up the engine and assess the damage, rebuild, and junk yard turbo. With whatever money is left, try to improve the suspension and pretty it up. Remove the interior and we're good to go. Pictures to follow.

I would be really tempted to build it with a full interior and end up with a nice DD post challenge.
Yeah, it is in so much better shape than I thought it would be, I'm tempted to do the same. I think we'll need to drop the weight to be competitive though.
How about just remove all the interior and replace it after the challenge?
