The interior changes look great!

I've always wanted one of these,  but never managed to pull the trigger.  The newest 911 I have owned was a 993 targa.  I'd be interested in this one is you ever decided to sell.  You've done a lot of great work to it.

Thanks guys, the interior trim has made a substantial change in how it looks.  It's not a featureless black hole now.

This is one of the few cars I've had that I'm really happy with, I honestly don't know what would replace it that I could afford.  I'd love a 997 GT3RS, but that would cost $100k more than my car...

The S54 clown shoe is a forever car for me. It's too unique and quirky that it's not really replaceable.

I've driven a stock 996 turbo and they are nothing like the shoe. You have to rev out the shoe to get power. Also, not very torquey. Not bad, but nothing like a forced induction engine. Also, the shoe can be very twitchy when you push it. I would not turn off DSC on the street- it's done some unexpected things here and there that DSC saved me from a possible crash.

The E63 wagon is a beast. Very fast, fairly comfy, much more modern if you're looking at a W213. Does a better job as a GT than a 996 turbo, but sucks at the sports car thing. The 996 can be sharpened up like you've done. Virtually zero aftermarket for Benz other than power mods.

I passed on the clown shoe.  It's a cool car, but just not the same as my Turbo.  I'd love an E63 AMG as my daily and keep the turbo as the fun car but there's a lack of money there, haha.  I'll likely get a 2013-2017 Cayenne turbo as my next DD, as long as I can find one with the options, mileage and price I want.

Anyways, I'd knocked the burs down on the turbo oil reservoirs and it definitely helped, the drivers side turbo was basically clean, but the passenger side turbo still had an oil drip on it.  So I pulled the plugs on both reservoirs, drained the oil and cleaned up the areas again with 320 grit.  Then I cleaned up the reservoirs to make it easy to spot a leak.  Tomorrow there's  porsche breakfast meet and the weather should be good, so I'll take the car there and then check it out again on the rack once I've gotten home.
