My wife grabbed me the most evil sticker she could for the car.

To make it truly dirty, put this on the other side
So say we all.

That is what I think EVERY time I hear someone talking about fracking.

I had to look that one up. I can't tell if I'm not a big enough nerd or you're too big of one.
Construction skills, car choices, wife choice, and now the fracking sticker.
You have reached a level of awesomeness that I will now read your posts in the voice of Christopher Walken.

You're not a big enough nerd. BSG should be watched by ALL. I would say even above most of Star Trek. Don't think sci-fi/aliens in space, think more political drama with hot robots and battles... in space.
Im surprised how annoyed i am by that sticker. But everyone has their price and i only dislike it because i havent been paid to like it yet. MURRICA! Everyone hates what i think, too, so carry on trolling!
Love the car, btw.

The sticker isn't going on the car. Even though hydro-fractured wells bring home the bacon here, I'm sensitive enough to the fact that it's a politically contentious thing that I'd never sticker the car with it. I'm not an F-you type of guy. I may be silly, but I work hard not to be a jerk.
A friend called with the news that he couldn't figure out how to fit four race tires and tools in his Miata for track time. V wagon to the rescue! I forgot to take pictures of the wheels in the back but they fit comfortably and we had a great day. We did a couple of sessions in the rental karts and the boy got to sit in a formula car.
The plates finally came in so I can do my first 'mod'. God I hate it when people call things like plate holders a mod. I suck.
Texas requires a front plate. My wife was once pulled over by a very nice state police officer for not having a front plate on her TT. Since then, not having a front plate is not a point of discussion in my marriage. There are worse things in life. I had two options. 1. Drill holes in the car to mount the factory front plate bracket. 2. Be like the cool kids these days and get a bracket that screws into the tow hook spot. I chose option 2 and cruised the Cadillac forums and ended up with a bracket from Rho Plate. It has all of these holes in it which gives a large number of mounting options. It's well made I suppose and seems to work.
I screwed it all together and...... it looks like crap. Not the fault of the holder, just the fact that there isn't a way to mount a plate on the front of the car that looks good. Dammit.
Looking at the Texas DMV site you can get specialty plates with a black background. That plus a black frame plus maybe a tinted cover would go a long way towards minimizing the damage.
While you're at it why not get something on it as well? EVL-WGN would be a good one.
The question is whether of not I want to be even more conspicuous than I already am in the car. I'm leaning toward QWK WGN as my choice. My wife likes DRK SD
I vote for " VADERS ", but then I'm biased.

Nope, but the youngest is still young enough that he could probably adapt to the name change.
VADERS is taken. So is VADER. VDR is available.
STHLRD
DRKJDI
DARTH
ANAKIN
LRDVDR
DRKSDE
I bet VAD3R isn't taken.
Or, changing to an alternate universe, how about WARP V?
