Don't mind the springs . . . I had em upside down . . . WHOOPS!! It has been corrected . . .
I mounted up the baby Supra and old tires since I don't have the new one's yet . . .
Looks like I have to make an adjustable panhard bar to get the axle centered . . . .
AE86 springs with Cressida struts and brakes (10" and vented) with 82 Corolla strut tops and mounts.
82 Corolla Strut rods with new bushings + Cressida front sway bar and Corolla sway bar . . . Note the difference. It will be visited later . . .
Hmmm . . .
Break out the dremel . . .
CRAP!!! The Cressida LCAs are still too short . . . look at that sweet positive camber . . .
At least the Cressida bar fits and has room. I had to get a bit "creative" with the bushing as the stock bar has an offset bend.
And here she sits for now . . .
I have to research more on the lca issue. I know the stock Corolla lca is too short when using the Cressida Struts.
More to come . . . .
You need to either cut and weld back together a set of LCAs... or make adjustable LCAs... or get adjustable top hats.
Also... strut inclination angle might just be too much using the Cressy strut case
The most extensive information (I've found) on Toyota LCAs is in the Aussie Toymods site... here is a Google search https://www.google.com/search?q=%22http://www.toymods.org.au/%22+lca+site:www.toymods.org.au
You might find some info on strut angles as well... https://www.google.com/search?q=%22http://www.toymods.org.au/%22++strut+angle+site:www.toymods.org.au&biw=1563&bih=919

To the rescue!! Thanks for those links.
I found out that the MX73 lca I got are the same length as the Corolla lca . . . D'oh!!
Apparently, the XT130 (Corona) lca are the ones to get. The Ke55 Corolla lca "supposed" to be the same length. Going to pull a part now to check.
I did find out the MX62 Cressida lcas give a good bit of negative camber
Longer lower control arms . . . check
Shorter steering arms . . . . . . . check
More Camber . . . . berk no (well yea . . . but not enough)
The steering arms do not work with the Cressida strut housing. . . . and Cressida steering arms do not match the balljoint taper . . .
By the time I pay to get the arms extended and add new balljoints and bushing, I can buy MX62 arms a loaded with all new stuffs . . . .
Guess RockAuto is getting more monies this week
I also grabbed some springs from Pull-a-Part to test fit as these M2 springs are sooooo soft . . .
Update:
In preparation of Mrs. Zero's 2nd knee surgery, I have been making Pull-a-Part yard runs to gather stuffs since I'll be tied to the house.
I picked up some springs front springs from a Cadillac Fleetwood (~390 lbs/in), fronts springs from a Chevy Caprice (~335 lbs/in). I'll probably cut a couple coils to get them the right length. I also pulled a turbo from 2004 Saab 9-3.
Last weekend, I grabbed a M90 SC and paid the turbo price for it
Today, I picked up a complete intake manifold + injectors + TB from a 4ZE1powered Trooper II. Why you ask?? Easier way to run fuel injection on a 3TC. The intake port spacing is really close. An aluminium adapter should match it to the head without issues.
If I run the SC, I'll need to get a ribbed crank pulley, a tensioner, an idler pulley or two, and make a bracket.
If I go turbo, grab a ebay SR20 top mount manifold and make an adapter
We'll see how the numbers on the spreadsheet turns out . . .

Question Strike_Zero what is the diameter of the Cadillac And Chevy coil springs and what year(roughly) Fleetwood and Caprice? Im interested because i would like some stiffer spring rates on a project.
Both where 95s. I'll get you all the spring details later today.
The rates came from Moog's replacement spring catalogs so I'm not sure how correct they are.
95 Cadillac Fleetwood Front Springs
95 Chevrolet Caprice
Front springs from my 82 TE72
These are rough measurements from a tape. I need to find my calipers to get some good numbers.
Thanks Strike, those diameters are narrow for my project, but it gives me any idea of what yo look for as far as wire diameter. Have you thought about using markIII supra springs? not sure about their diameter but you seem to be on a roll using other toyota model parts. In reply to Strike_Zero:

No problem.
Caprices, S10s, and other GM products litter the local Pull-a-Part yard. It's rare to see a Supra on the yard. And if it does show up, it's usually piced clean.
Springs from GM products start at ~150lbs/in up to a whooping 770lbs/in . . . all straight from the factory. Lots to choose from!!
Did some work on the Bug today.
I installed 1984 Cressida LCAs and gain some good negative camber. It's hard to tell due to low air in the tires.
Top = TE55
Middle = MX73
Bottom = MX62

Next up is steering . . .
Sat down a few days ago and made a To Do list
Thing done today:
I started on the transmission mount and snapped a bolt . . . The last bolt and in the tail housing . . . Berk!!
Love this! i dunno about all the red but it makes it easy to see what is done so far LOL.
neat lil car!
I dropped the transmission to extract a broken bolt from the tail housing.
Found out the clutch was just replaced . . . Tons of material on the disc . . . WOOWHOO!! But . . . (there is always a but), the real main seal was leaking . . . Eh . . . better now than later.

Thanks!! The car will be black and red.
Not too long . . .

There are some odds and ends here and there that need to be done (fill panels, covers, etc).
I like idea of lightly boosting the 3TC. These motors are boost hogs. A SC or small turbo would be magic.
