So today I bought a 1997 Z28. It has terrible paint and it overheats. I plan to fix both of these issues by the time October rolls around.
The previous owner had it for the past 10 years and slowly modified it over his time with the car. It has lots of cool parts which is why I pulled the trigger despite its many deficiencies. It came with some random extra parts that I will document further as I work through the build thread.
So with out further ado... a couple of pictures from the pickup today.
Tires are shot. Every panel has terrible paint and it overheats. I hope to tear into it a little next week to see what I have to work with.
ill give you 20 bucks if you actually grow a joe dirt mullet for the challenge.

Wheels are 18x9.5 at each corner. I am perfectly happy with them 
. It has 315s on the rear and 295s up front. All tires are super bald.
It also came a set of beat up 17x9 ss 10 spoke wheels without tires.

If you’re forcing my hand i’ll take the ss wheels too

Here are the 10 spoke wheels that came with the car. I am going to get them cleaned up and fix the paint on them.
I traded a Set Like That, I Have an 18/19 set That are Real Nice The 19's Have Brand New Hoosier's, And two Different Sets From Early C4's 1 set 16 1 set 17, I traded my set like yours And got the 18/19 set, That Don't fit well 'Cause 2nd gen C4's are Wider, That Said I want A Set of Gran sport's Like Pat Is Saving for His Chevelle .
Any interest?
Cool pick up - I have a soft spot for 4th gens so I'll be following with interest.

The lt1 t56's are not as valuable as the ls ones. I bought one last year for $800 for the c10.
I bought a collection of parts, some attached to a e36m3y camaro some not attached.
Woohoo Ford vs Chevy CAM shootout at the challenge! I envy your rear suspension setup already.....

I too am not on Facebook. I just got hack from my buddies bachelor party. Hopefully I can get started on the car this week.

You still got a deal on that $800 T56. There's still a lot of people wanting to put T56s behind SBCs without bothering with getting ahold of different bellhousings and input shafts. The price difference, I say, is that LT1 clutches are a lot more expensive than LS ones.

So the previous owner sent me a bunch of receipts from the 11 plus years he had the car. I need to go through them and sort out everything that he did.
He also sent me a dyno of the car with the heads, and cam but prior to the long tubes. No telling what it makes with the blown head gasket.
I am excited about the torque...

Great Score! anything done to the suspension? or any plans to modify it? I have a 4th gen as well. I will be following along.
