Sounds like a better solution (first pun of the day) for cost reasons. I'll have to read up on the recommended processes for steel. There was something about copper plating before nickel.
Going this route would save a fair amount down the road, when I pull off the suspension arms for re-plating.
I would love to see your models. My most meticulous restorer friend, who passed away a couple of years ago, built some insanely detailed models. Care to share a link to some photos?
