Yup, the dollies rock! Dunno if your garage is wide enough but I can spin a car 360 degrees. It's nice when ya want to use the open door for more light when working on the opposite end of the car.

My time this past week got killed by these "foilers". They're wheel well flares that fit behind the wheels and look like the stock ones in front of the wheels.
They're aftermarket so not as high a quality as the OEM ones and made of a different rubbery plastic. I purchased them 20+ years ago and don't know anyone who has these particular ones to ask what body prep materials & techniques work best. So I prepped them the same way as the OEM ones at the same time a couple years ago. I'd contoured them to fit the body, filled imperfections, primed & block sanded twice with $200.00/gal high fill primer, then sealed with $300.00/gal sealer.
So they were ready for fine Scotch Bright & paint, or so I'd thought. Last week I went to move one and noticed a crack in the primer/sealer, D'oh! The high build primer expands & contracts at a different rate than the rubbery plastic so I had to strip all four which took 10 hours. I probably had at least that much time in them prepping them for paint the first time so now I've got over 20 hours in them and I'm back to square one. I'll prep them a different way this week.
This is the kind of thing that slows a project and adds to expenses. I've essentially lost two weeks plus the costs of materials.

Not wide enough for a 360 but it made moving things around inside of the garage much easier. I can also see it being helpful when it comes time to paint. Having a ton of room to do one side, let it dry and then push it to paint the other side. That's not even mentioning when I end up doing basic maintenance on the car to get it on the road again.
We definitely building two different types of cars lol I just can't see myself spending 20+hrs of work on some flares. For me, if it fits, it ships!
Progress isnt going as swimmingly as I'd like. managed to get the wheel locks off with an angle grinder to cut some of the edges off and then hammered a socket onto the wheel lock. two center caps were sacrificed in the process but i dont think that i messed the wheels up too bad.
rust removal began but was not finished inside the cab, the plastic sponge looking wheels are what I'm preferring to use at the moment. Tough on rust but not as rough on the good material underneath compared to wire wheels.
oh, neighbors reported me to the city... so that's fun

As far as the city goes, never thought I'd ever spend money registering and insuring a parts car in my life but here I am.
For the record, VA takes 'title jumping' very seriously and i ended up spending three full weekends getting papers and going to different locations before I finally ran into a girl who looked at nothing I've done and handed me a title and plates
