Hello all! I recently picked up this wonderful 300TE from Tom Suddard a couple days ago.

Tom knows I have a big soft spot for station wagons. One night I was working on my Accord, and I get a message from Tom asking if I could help him drag a Mercedes off of the side of 95. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to help, but he brought it by my job on the trailer later and it was almost love at first site! Tom and I went back and forth for a couple days, and then finally setup a deal for it! So I picked her up, and drove her home Saturday night. The interior is immaculate for the most part, a couple little stains here and there on the floor mats, but nothing major.

I started tinkering with it Sunday, and noticed that it was only charging at 12.2v. So I picked up a new alternator and belt, because it decided to shred the serpentine belt. Spent majority of my night last night doing that, but now she's running and driving well. Next thing to be addressed are the huge balloon tires it has. Then I'm going to lower her a fair amount, find some newer 17" or 18" AMG wheels, euro headlights and corners, and maybe some kind of exhaust. I'm going for some thing like this, but without the overly cambered wheels.

Anyway, I'll continue to update as she progresses. If anyone has any aftermarket w124 parts, I may be interested!

I'm glad that car went to a good place that wasn't my driveway. Do keep us updated.

That's the picture I used in my 300te thread! Those wheels are available right now for $69 from American Muscle; I got a set. They are 5x114 but you can have them machined to x112 cheaper than buying MB specific wheels.
