Yea, you told me so.

If you want bad, the past few days I've been driving something that is faster, has much better brakes, and MUCH sharper steering...
It was a '95 Cavalier, 2.2 automatic.
I've always liked that chassis, but jeez do they have to be so good to drive?
Faster than the RX-7. The RX-7 can't go over 55-60mph without horrible drivetrain shuddering because the latest transmission I installed turned out to be a dud. That was before 3rd gear decided to exit with a loud bang. But even with a good trans, it doesn't like cruising at over 70.
I found myself accidentally going 80mph more than once. Takes very little pedal to get there. No sensation of speed other than the number on the speedometer. No good outward visibility, either, the sightlines on that car are absolutely atrocious. A-- would not buy.

Mazda6 wagon manual trans i just fit a whole kayak inside too lol
Yep, got a 94 engine with 75k miles in it and just bolted on the turbo.
The oil drain hose is not ideal but it doesn't seem to be a problem yet.
Should work just fine. Your rod bearings all looked incredibly awesome so your tune isn't hurting the engine.
You shoulda seen the engine I pulled out of the last Grand National I worked on. I don't know what was up with it but it was detonating so hard that the mating surfaces of the main caps and block looked like coarse files.
(er, to clarify - I worked on it AFTER it hurt the engine... that was rather why it was brought to us )
And it's down again. Tried to drive it to work this morning. An Accord turned left in front of me without looking and I nailed their rear quarter/bumper. Passenger fender is smashed in, tire shredded and the right front wheel is pointing the wrong direction.
Should be just some control arms and a fender away from being back on the road but I haven't dug into it much yet.
The good news is that the other driver was at fault and I should hopefully come out ahead after buying used parts and doing the work myself.
The bad news is I still can't drive it.
So the suspension is mostly straight again after a new subframe, control arms and knuckle. I was going to get a new tire to replace the one that was destroyed. After the wreck I looked over the wheel and the lips didn't look bent so I figured it was fine.
Then as I was going to put it in the car today I noticed something.
WTB?
It's not dead.
It's not even resting.

Next up: Indianola and the National Championship. Evan won it last year. He's letting me try for it with his car this year.
I hasten to point out that the win was on street tires. Worn out street tires that were insta-spin in the first two gears at 8psi.
It definitely handles differently than I'm used to, but when wielded properly, it is quite a useful tool.
They have grip on the street now! And the differential came back to life, can't make tight corners without it shuddering.
I confess that I've been driving it back and forth to work, mainly because it would completely suck if it got stolen from the shop parking lot. The possibility is remote, of course, but I feel safer with it parked in my sleepy old-people neighborhood than the parking lot at work that abuts some sketchy apartment buildings.
Still on the same tank of fuel that I put in at the gas station in Adrian, too.
