It's been a little while since I've done anything on the truck but I wanted to update this thread regardless. I've been sidetracked by side projects and a new woman that is much more understanding of my hobbies and mad scientist mentality.
TL;DR: I have four 3D Printers now. If you have any 3D printing needs PM me I'm happy to print just about anything for a modest price.
So behind cars and metal working I really enjoy 3D printing if that was not apparent previously in this thread. I bought my first printer a little over 2 years ago to 3D print a gauge cluster for the truck, I still plan on doing that. That printer did a good job of teaching me all of the ins and outs of 3d printing and got me through a couple engineering school projects. It was a very cheap, very chinesey kit that had a lot of problems and turned into just a pile of parts. Last fall I decided to replace it with a bigger, faster more reliable printer for my final semester of school when I would have a lot of projects that it would come in handy for since the prototype lab at school was not known for their speed or reliability.

I bought another large printer this spring when I was helping a friend crank out 3d printed Honda CRX cupholders. This guy sits idle most of the time and is mostly just for really berkeleying big pieces.

The company that made the printer in the first picture just started making an updated version of that printer that now includes a dual extruder setup. That means two colors or one and a soluble support material. Well I ordered one with an eBay coupon and then that company couldn't even ship it, so I canceled that and bought one again from eBay with a coupon but this time straight from the manufacturer. That printer got lost for a week somewhere between Ohio and Milwaukee thanks to the men in brown shorts. So 3 weeks later this finally shows up at my door.

All the while I've been making a massive 8020 work bench to hold this new printer and it's older brother. Work bench is 114" long by 34" deep and stands about 40" tall.

Plywood top because prices of large sections of butcher block are outrageous.

I got the new printer dialed in pretty well and started messing around with a couple ideas I've had floating around in my head for generating some side business cash flow.
RS and ST keychains still a work in progress.

I have an even more recent addition to the work bench. I was cruising through craigslist late last week and found an estate sale ad that had a 3d printer listed... Interesting.
I looked at the pictures and saw a Prusa MK2/MK3 and 2 big boxes of filament... cool. I figured they would want too much for it or it would be gone right away Friday when the estate sale started. Saturday I was booked accompanying my new lady friend to her cousin's wedding, that's fine I have the most negotiating power Sunday afternoon anyway. Got to the estate sale looked around at the other stuff and found the printer and the filament. There's 4 boxes of filament and they wanted almost list price for the printer. I powered the printer on and it prompted me for calibration, I think to myself damn it's brand spanking new. Check the settings and memory, 2hours and 31minutes of run time so far. Perfect, time for my favorite parts, let's bargain. After a little bit of himming and hawing from the estate sale lady I walked away with a $700 printer and close to $2000 in filament for less than $500. That's a damn good deal. I know have 4 printers in varying sizes and capabilities. I need to find a niche and start exploiting it.
