Gustaf, the glove box has not been mounted in the time I've had the car. From what I've seen so far I'd say it is not large, but still usable. Documents, booklets and a pair or two of sunglasses should be easy.

Thanks.
The non-ac glove box is almost overly large. I have the MaxxEcu ecu :-) on a hinged panel at the top of mine and can still fit some paperwork and random things. Not that it will be a dealbreaker in the next build if I loose more space though.
Will be nice to see it with fresh paint!

Not going to happen. Backdating the bumpers would completely blow the budget on this car, and simply leaving them off leaves ugly frame rail horns sticking out the back. If I can't afford to do it right, I'll leave it stock. They are part of the car's history, after all.

Not just restoration, but restoration on a budget! There is a bit of a ceiling to what people will pay for a Capri, and I need to stay under it.
Had a chat with the paint shop owner today, now that they have had some time to touch the car and look for things they missed on the original estimate. And while I always expect these jobs to cost more than they first say, in this case the estimate was pretty good—largely because the car is solid.
It will require a lot of surface prep, due to the desert sunburned paint, but we knew that going in. No real surprises there. But the bumpers are a bit worse than we thought, and will require extra attention. Still far less expensive than sourcing and converting to chrome, though.
Estimating 3-4 weeks in the shop.
Visited the car in the shop last week. Progress is being made. No new surprises since the last visit. The first of the 2 badly weather-checked rubber-like bumpers has been prepped, and looks good, ready for paint.
Back on the ground again, with almost all of the exterior trim installed. Installed the new steering rack internal bushing yesterday. Starting on one of my less favored jobs now—new headliner.
New headliner install has been postponed due to mis-boxed product. Vendor is handling the issue well, but there is still going to be some delay before the correct item arrives.
In the meanwhile, I've started fitting the new carpet instead.
