Hello Everyone,  My passion is and has been building unique 50's-60's influenced cars.  I've been building for over 20 years. Always as a hobby.  My latest one is a Cheetah inspired build.  I shaped the body, had molds made, built a jig and space frame.  I've put together a couple of them and sold a few bodies and frames.  I love the car.  I think that it looks great.  It drives great.  I think that there could be a market for a kit for it.  I've been dealing with a couple of serious health issues for about 10 years now.  They are getting worse.  I realize that at 66, and with my issues, that I'm not able to market and build kits.  I hope to still be able to do personal builds for awhile.

I have the plug that I formed to pull the molds from. It is on a frame with casters so that it can be easily moved.   I had molds made.  They are at a fiberglass shop near Providence, RI.  The shop makes bodies for me as needed.  I have a good rolling jig.  The suspension pickup points are accurate.  (uses C4 vette suspension and steering.  Stock width). (uses MGB windshield).  I have a completed frame with aluminum panels with body fitted and C4 suspension mounted with the C4 wheels and used tires.  The jig and parts are at my shop in Elizabethtown, NY.

I thought that I would see if anyone here is interested before I list it for sale on Ebay and elsewhere.  I'm looking for 30K.

Picture with me in car is to show what it looks like finished.  Not included in the sale.

Roll bar was for mock up only.  I had to weld a couple of pieces for the correct width. Shocks shown are junk.  were the correct length for laying out the mounts.

I wonder if the folks at Factory Five would be interested in picking this up. If they did, it would certainly be in good hands.

Good luck with this sale and your personal projects--I hope you're able to continue building for many more years.

Somebody should keep the molds.   You might try posting this over on SVRA.'s web site or VSCDA.

HECK,  even try Hemmings.  There is a vintage sports car racing. magazine Victory Lane  That is another likely spot.
It's worth marketing it because there is a lot of people digging up "old" fiberglass bodies  and Vintage racing them.

I've been kicking myself for not taking over your abarth sp1000 molds ever since I was too slow to scoop them up. Do you know if they are producing anything or just collecting dust?

But on original topic, all these molds and tooling seem like a great deal if someone wants to start producing fun stuff.

You'll need to log in to post.
