Weekend nights on Woodward are ramping up in activity more and more. It's a good time and it's hard to grasp the scale without being in the mix.
Tonight I pulled off the wheel well trim and I like the look. I've got plenty of things to keep me busy on the car until about 2030. I've got a leaking steering rack that's frustrating me now. Just keep working, just keep working.

I lived and worked in Pittsburgh in the early 90's at Bayer. I get back for work a few times a year and like the area a lot. We went to PVGP a number of time. Good times! I like seeing your pics of the area.

Since we all like specs around these parts here we go.
17"x9.5" Trans Am Race Engineering (may they rest in peace) wheels with 8 ET.
275/40-17 Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tires to match the smaller ones up front.
I've still got about an inch of clearance per side with that tire/wheel size and offset. Unfortunately 275 is the widest 17" version of this tire. Quick mount and torque to spec then spirited drive of about 10 miles showed no clearance issues! Woo Hoo!

This weekend starts the full throttle ramp up to Woodward Dream Cruise. I'm taking my 84 year old Dad to M1 for Cars & Coffee Saturday morning. Sunday is the Troy Traffic Jam show. Next week European & Vintage bike meet, Cars & Caffeine at The Henry Ford, Road Kill Nights then the nightly car shows until the 19th. On the 20th I've got an all Ford show at Ford World HQ in Dearborn. Non-stop Detroit area car action!
Got a tick list created and then edited for tasks to keep working on improvements. Got a few things knocked out today and I'll keep at it again tomorrow before Sunday's show.
M1 Cars & Coffee was good though less attendance than I expected. I got some call outs that one brake light was dead. Turn signals haven't been working on a while and this year the horn was dead. I ripped out the multi function switch behind the steering wheel and replaced it as it is often noted as the source of all evil. Got horns and brake lights back. Still no turn signals. Dang. 
The spring loaded pins on the switch contact the steering wheel. You can see a lot of metallic dust on the switch body. The back of the steering wheel has a metallic coated plastic ring and the pins have worn through the metallic surface. Wonder if that might be part of my problem?
Good enough to drive WK1 to work tomorrow morning and then take it to a car show!

Where are you gonna be Sunday AM? I'm headed up to the new High Octane Cafe & Bakery on M59 not too far from Pontiac Oakland Airport. Starts at 9. Then over to Munk's Motors which is also on 59, pretty close to Elizabeth Lake Rd. Munk's starts at 10.
Troy Traffic Jam at the Columbia Center on Big Beaver just west of Livernois. It's on the south side of Big Beaver. I've been going for a few years and took it to the show last year. This is a traditional car show format but usually brings a good mix of cars.
Yesterday morning I met a couple of buddies at two C&C events; Hagerty sponsored event at The Henry Ford in Dearborn and Ford's Garage in Novi. Early morning wash then about 50 miles. Car ran well in cool early morning and hotter late morning. Last night was some laps of Woodward. The Cougar and my buddies RHD Evo in Novi. 
Dang, I was on the fence about Novi, chose to work on MonZora instead.
We got there late and it was pretty packed.
Got invited out with a new group tonight. Long time customer and current friend hangs out with a group of car guy's Wednesday before cruise. Washed to car and decided to clean the engine bay because it was way WAY overdue. Got done and engine wouldn't start. Dang. Plenty of starter speed and fuel injection was working. Pulled electrical connections and dried them with no joy. Double dang. Finally noticed one unused connection on the throttle body in sitting in a little nook on the intake that had some water in it (yeah, not real tidy). Extracted it and blew it off and dried out Intake Lake. Fired up. Hot damn! Today's idiot saves himself from his own past idiocy. yay!
