I have my 1991 Chevy 2500HD with a built 454(cam and heads) and 700R4 with only 90k miles. The body is absolutely trash. Terrible dents, rust, interior that looks like angry raccoons went through it, etc. I had many 60-66 C10s in the past but was wondering how hard it would be to swap a 60-66 body on a 1991 2500HD(GMT400) Chassis/Frame. A few people said it would be easy and others said it would take years.

The answer to that will largely depend on your skillset.

Not trivial and the kind of thing you want to have measured out before you start.

You need to spend time on www.67-72chevytrucks.com in the 60-66 section (I'm there too).

It will require some new/moved mounts, and that's a TALL frame compared to a 60-66.

You'll need to log in to post.
