I don't know why, as much as I like good, technical, legitimate information I've never joined up here, but I finally have and figured I would give an introduction and the plans for my car(s).

The car in question is a 2001 C5 Z06 that's almost completely stock. The only changes to it are a C6Z06 shifter assembly, C6Z06 OEM Shocks, replica wheels, and aftermarket B&B Exhaust. I bought this car from my father in law last near year's with 165K on it. I had previously seen the car 3 or 4 years prior and he has promised me to keep it and sell it to me for 8K at that point. Lo and behold he kept his word all that time, maintaining and fixing it up until sale. He even had his mechanic do a full once-over on it before I bought it and had the clutch slave cylinder replaced along with a couple minor items.

Fast foward to now and I have 181K miles on it from driving it back and forth to work everyday along with taking a few trips in Texas and Northern Arkansas. She's also been my bike hauler up until recently when I bought money pit #2. Some random mountain biker on FB caught the picture of me below in Plano, TX headed back from Bentonville. This is my usual setup for it that gets a lot of attention.

The plans for the car now involve getting it setup more in the lines of a road race vehicle, but still plenty streetable.

Future upgrades, most of which will be a few years down the road depending on funds(just had first child):
Sparco R100 Seats

Elite Engineering Oil Catch Can

Trackspec Hood vents

Flow One F4 black wheels front and back(18X9.5, 19X10.5) with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's

Borg DelrinAF control arm bushings all the way around

LG or Penske Coil-overs

Trans/Diff Cooling(Probably Doug Rippie)

Thank you, she's super clean and i've only had to replace the balancer pulley and shocks thus far. Runs great for having 181K.

My BIL has one just like that. I think it has less than 10k on the clock. He thinks it's an investment. It's never been in the rain either.

People are nuts. It's a car. Drive it.

Great looking vette! Enjoy!

For sure, this year I've driven her rain or shine 5+ days a week at least 60 miles a day. I plan on keeping her clean and well taken care of... but C5's are plastic and aluminum, rain isn't gonna destroy it.

Welcome. Cheap cars are most fun. Also love your garage door - I have the same one

Ha, I wish that was my house. My wife and I are looking for a house this year. We're currently in a 3rd story apartment... I drive home to my parents(2hrs) or to my buddy's house for oil changes and/or upgrades/fixes.
