HI there, I know this is an old topic but I wanted to say hello and see if you ever moved forward with this? I tried super hard to build a truck like this however in the end I had picked a truck that did not have a long enough wheelbase, so I am pulling the deck off and putting it on a longer chassis... Here are a few pics of my project:

Well I had to re-think the car hauler project I was starting with the wrong vehicle....
So I removed the deck and bought this truck! 2000 E-450 with a 16 foot cube.... About 15,000 pound GVW so I will be far under that with my car on the deck. 7.3 TURBO diesel should work well. Removing the cube and making it an engine shed in my yard and putting my nice deck on there. I am not using the tilt as that only made the loading angle worse but my plan to make loading easier is to remove some of the 12 leafs in the pack and use air bags to adjust the ride height back up once it is loaded.
