I've been bitten enough times in my adult life. Crazy because I've never been stung by a bee haha.

I ended up breaking my wrist so I couldn't work on it. But, I did do a few things this weekend.

Front bumper was ruined by the front license plate so I was removing it to install the bumper from the parts car. And I found my front bumper support rusted pretty badly. The front plate bracket trapped foliage and moisture from the Virginia weather.

So, I removed the whole front bumper support with bumper and airdam.

I also took all the rusted bolts and soaked them in Evaporust for 24hrs.

Good as new:

I removed fenders, skirts, etc to see if there was anymore rust and there isn't.

Getting ready to put the 4g54b on an engine stand.

Ordered waterpump, new belts, thermostat, turbo gaskets, exhaust manifold gasket, throttle body gaskets, valve cover gasket.

I need to find injectors, AC bracket, turbo lines, and alternator harness.

I bought a set of these and they worked much better than the factory units.

Oh hell! Thanks! Are they the same size or did you have to modify anything to fit them?

I have faltered. I'm picking up an engine with a MPI setup with megasquirt etc already installed. It's already been wired up, would just need a tune.

They came with an adapter and longer bolts... not that it matters now that you are going MPI!

So, it's been 6 years. The car is still in California. Plans to bring it home 10 April. It's in significantly worse shape than before but still somewhat clean. I think I'm just stuck with this car by choice lol.

We will see what's next. I'd love to restore it, I have a really good shop that could do paint for a reasonable price. I think finding the missing parts will be the time consuming part. Maybe have a clean inline 6 swap. I'm totally over the 4g54b drivetrain.

I think your timing is good, I'd say there's better parts support for these now than there was 6 years ago. There's a guy out in PA making tubular subframes and suspension parts now: NDD Motorsports. He offers a bolt-on steering rack setup, no idea what the geometry is like though.

I didn't know about NDD but thanks! I know Mike @ MKS motorsports, I just spoke with him yesterday. And Steve @ StarQuestparts is within an hour of me. Between those two, I should have decent support.

There's another guy alias NIVLAC 57(SE PA) that might could hook you up with an ATLAS......

In reply to 759NRNG :

I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the Atlas. I know Calvin n dem do amazing with it. Plus, it might be way too big.

But I haven't even began to think that far ahead.

Just making sure you're properly enabled wink

Mikie and Steve are the best in the business.

I don't think an Atlas (or a Barra) would fit without a lot of work.
