suprisingly easy after he neon. This metal is thicker, flatter, and way less mangled.
Should be done with filler by the end of the week. Then, art sprays it.
Assuming i dont do something stupid.

And why would you ever do anything like that?
Great progress. It should be a great truck when you are done fixing it.

I get bored easily. Also, im accident prone. Like pulling the stainless off the bottom of the bed i cut my thumb really good. Saturday. Its still bleeding today. Kinda hurts.
At least tbe drivers side is way straighter.
Seeing this in person it isn't as much of a beater as I thought. Of course Michael could scrub beater out of anything.

Save your knees, save your back, save your elbows...
That made me laugh way harder than it should have. Thanks!!!
Thanks Steve!
I got the corner metalwork done, but then had to work for a living.
So, not looking good for paint this week.

So. Been thinking hard since you posted.
And you are right. I get a satisfaction of creating something with my own two hands that i don't get at work, or in other places. I get off on always upping my game, always doing SOMETHING better than the last time. It gets my nervous energy out. Helps clear my head. Its even more acute now with me working from home, doing from a desk what i was on the road doing every day. I have the same amount of work, just less travel time that needs to be filled with something. So i do this stuff. I work on the yard. I pace. I actively choose NOT to sit and play video games or watch tv. I do something, create something. I spend time with my family.
Not sleeping and being ADHD as berkeley doesn't seem to help either.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
Quite the reason I build and create. My job is not about building and creating, its meaningful work but I don't get to look back at something and say "I made that" So I build cars, or lately, chicken coops and other farm based weirdness but I relax by working hard and making something and it really is relaxing.
almost every primer spot you see has hammer/dolly and filler work behind it. Or bare metal where i feathered out gouges.
Theres a lot of berkeleying metal on this thing.
yeah....
Nowhere near as close to paint as i thought.
Need to slow down and focus. Focus on what's important. Both on truck and homefront.
Real update coming soon.

Agreed. And i swear that bodywork is something I want to get proficient at. Maybe not second career good, but good enough.

Let me know when you're ready for another body work project, I'll bring my tow rig over for you to the body work on it and then take it to Art to get painted. After the Volvo, I've learned that I'm not interested in doing anymore body work.
You'll need to log in to post.
