meanwhile, on a secret test track somewhere between here and there...
this was the most purely highway fill-up I've had. 421.8 miles on 13.901 gallons of 87, for a new record high of 30.2 mpg
I haven't had access to secret test tracks lately. She's still churning out the miles, generating grins on every cloverleaf and knocking down 26+ mpg in mixed driving.
Today was winter tire swap day. No risk of mixing them up:
She hit 97k on my way home from DC last weekend.
I just read the previous page, and I see that I'm due for an oil change.
Today was a beautiful day for oil changes in the driveway, so Sabine got some love.
Her winter tires are a little smaller OD than her summers, so I had to drive up on 2x4s to get clearance for the floor jacks. Hashtag low life.
97.5k and counting. I love this car!

It's surprising, shocking really, that a secret test track in Mexico bears such a strong resemblance to a Turnpike in Ohio.

Typical usage is about 30 miles per day. The longest day i've done so far is 500-ish. i love this car.
Have you looked into the manifold mod for these motors? With some JY parts and a tune, you can pick up some decent HP.

i have a pretty strict "don't mod the daily" rule. I also don't feel like this car needs more power. I mean, sure i'd take it if it was already there, but that's not what this car is for.

Sure, you say that now. But what happens when you hit 160k miles and you need a picture of the speedo?

i'm going to switch to kph around 120
I dig this thread. Much like V6 mustangs, these lower trim level models don't get much enthusiast love but that doesn't mean they don't make excellent dailys.
I'd be especially curious what the average maintenance/repair costs would be on the 335 version of this car. I bet it's not at all like the V6 vs V8 mustangs I previously drew comparison to....
