Hubs next. These have been machined for the H3 rotors to slip over.
Next step is to get wheel studs pressed into the hubs. Current studs on the truck are 14x1.50 and so is the future rear differential. Hubs are only .529" and the studs need ~.600" for a press fit. Hopefully able to drill them on the drill press good and square and get them pressed in then the hubs can go on as well as the locking hubs etc. Hopefully axle under truck by the end of the month.
Apparently 19/32 and 39/64 drill bits aren't that common.

All the unbolting is done. Next comes the cutting and grinding.

Went to take the pitman arm off. Expected a fight. Seemed loose so I assumed I wasn't on the nut well. Repositioned myself and got more light. Nut was in fact very loose. Got that off and the pitman arm fell on the floor!

Yup! Custom Alcan springs from Offroad Design. Supposed to be very flexy.
Differential housing notched for u bolt. Originally the ubolts would have pointed down.
H3 brakes.
Got weight on the front end today. This is the (lack of) clearance between the front control arm crossmember and leaf springs. Notching needed there obviously.

Just checking tire clearance. ORD moves the axle center line forward an inch with the bracket kit. Really evident where I was previously having clearance issues at the rear of the wheel opening.
