As you may have expected, when I buy a golf kart, I rarely look for what the usual golfer does.
This one took my attention by the scruff of its neck
A bit of a lift, roll cage, some extra tire, custom rims, proper seats, CD player, LED lighting and a few ponies
Kawasaki 650, 5 speed gearbox
Giving me this package for, get this, $1700..
and I haven't got my mitts on it yet, wait and see what's next

Seriously, how the hell do you come up with this stuff?
Take your time, several of my scores have taken me, literally, years to find the right one. Search under mis-spelled words, use words like project, unfinished, abandoned and just get a little lucky every now and then.
Oh and BTW, Mrs Aussie found this one on the book of Faces, in a garage sale section.
Is there any evidence of this thing having been rolled in the past?
What was the seller like?
Short wheel base, high center of gravity, way more power than was ever intended by the manufacturer?
Looks like fun
Yup, those were all on my list, I will pick it up tomorrow
Roll cage ain't any good without proper seat belts.
That thing looks like way too much fun though :)
Oh, good lord. I can see it now, the golf cart loaded into the bed of Sampson.
Overkill carrying Overkill.
Walking at The Mitty is for chumps!
With the 650cc, I suspect it is fast enough for touring/parade laps. The corners MAY present some issues.
Just a reminder... I live on the 18th fairway of a Country Club of which I am not a member. Furthermore, the Club President already does not like me since I bought this house out from under him. During the housing bust he put a super low offer on the house but then could not sell his current home and they would not finance him on two homes. I caught wind of the low price, offered same with the guarantee to close in 20 days.
You and that cart would be the perfect Al Czervik (Rodney) at my own little Bushwood.
You are insane.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but still...

Brilliant! Needs less numbers and badges but otherwise very cool.
I was considering renting a cart at the Mitty for my old, crippled ass but if this thing makes it down... SHOTGUN!
Actually, I really don't drink very much at all, unlike all of you wonderful degenerates... Designated Driver!
Threadjack question: For those that have been before, are carts like this ok (or those more tame) at the Mitty?
- If so I am so bringing my Mule 'cause walking sucks.

I have NOT been there before, but I looked into it a little...
There is a link somewhere on the Road Atlanta webpage about a company that rents them at events, but it seems like their webpage is very broken. I haven't called to look into it yet but might investigate further in the future. Surely, someone with inside knowledge can inform us.
I can walk, but not terribly well and thought it would be convenient; I might just limp along and muddle through it with copious amounts of medication and frequent breaks to rest.
Hauled it home today
John you must have had a vision
Freaking cold for this
Numbers and decals coming off, fresh paint, a few nutty mods, cross bars on the roll bar, and a few other items on the agenda.
Winch, lighting and stereo system work fine.
I get a little chuckle thinking that Sampson needs an extended bed in order to be able to close the tailgate.

Lots of win here. Guessing this doubles as acceptable neighborhood transportation in a golf community?
Will it wheelie with the 650?
In reply to JohnRW1621:
That was my first thought, too. Maybe Steve needs to find a little bigger truck. Just start with a Diesel school bus, transfer current cab and weld 2-8foot beds end to end. Done.

I've been told that what's behind you doesn't really matter, but how do you get reverse? Turn wheel, apply throttle?

I got a little chuckle that Steve's pickup has a loading dock-height tailgate.
Be careful. I've got a shoulder that still bothers sonetimes from a golf cart incident.
I just think this is a perfect GRM pic
Carbs are rebuilt, found one jet was actually not there, they are back in our mitts, now just need to put them back on the kart
