I think that's fair from my perspective.  If this was a convertible, I'd be in Delaware already, but it's still tempting to me.

I don't suppose you'd love to take in an E46 wagon for afuture project, would you?

No thanks on the E46. Trying to clear out all my projects/vehicles.

If for some reason you decided to part it out. Am interested in the complete drive train. I have an 82 626 begging for a f2t swap

Thanks! I'd like to keep it together. These motors/transmissions are pretty inexpensive and not too hard to find car-part. Trans was actually more expensive than the motor in my case.

Very neat build; somehow missed this thread the first time around.

As an aside I once did work on an acquaintance's 323GT sedan with this motor. It ran and drove but smoked terribly; turned out the hot-side had cracked all the way around and the seals had melted. He bought whatever the "hybrid" turbo option for these is and had me put it on. I got everything together and took it for its first drive... I had forgotten all about the MBC he'd installed and the first time I touched the throttle I saw 25 psi on the boost gauge! Which probably answered the question about what happened to the first turbo.

Anyway the motor survived and I developed a real appreciation for these little engines. Hope it finds a new home!

Strange. Well atleast when they do pop up they are pretty cheap. Can't say the same about the cars they were originally in. PGT and MX6 prices are no longer favorable.

Thanks Ortho. I bet a 323 would be pretty fun. I think we all have a similar tale to tell with boost controller install.
