Agree. I love going through the history ... it's like reading a book about a cars life
Went to my long time lotus friend (we bought our cars new together) and did spec miata together as well,
to get Emission test done. Passed with flying colors. I needed it done to do the CA registration
smog check place had a few lotus elise and GTR owner who drove 7 hours from Phoenix to have his exhaust installed at my friends place
1500 mile update:
Completed the following maintenance:
Checked the brakes. Rears are new. Fronts are 70%.
Car has been running fantastic. No issues. Thirsty for what it is (we are averaging 19MPG), but can't complain compared to our 200 series LC or our FJCruiser. However, our 18 Tacoma is doing better MPG wise. A/C super cold, pulls all day at 80-85MPH, smooth. No leaks, and hasn't burned any oil in 1500 miles so far.
Took it out to our farm this weekend. Performed flawlessly, even with Michelin highway passenger tires. k02 or Wildpeaks will be installed before winter, when it goes up to the mountains for skiiing.
Very happy with it so far. Wife complained that RX looks too feminine with me removing the roof rack (well I pointed out the WHOLE vehicle is feminine). The rear OEM spoiler would reallyl help keeping the dirt off the rear. Ebay has them $80-$150 for OEM used ones. Debating if I want to drill and install that, or just stay with the "free theme"
Spent another weekend outdoors with the RX. It was fun. Got lots of weird looks from all the Jeep guys.
RX performed flawlessly. Same roads where my BOF FJCruiser rides so much rougher, this CUV handled it like a charm, with cold A/C blasting.
No complaints so far.
One issue that did pop up on the RX: There is a "click click" noise that is happening in the center console behind the screen/stereo area. It sounds like a stuck tape, or a stuck CD. CD changer empty, no tapes. It is unrelated to climate control (noise is there on or off), unlreated to stareo. Can't figure it out. The noise is very noticeable at idle at a signal light.
Well felt like a ricer today. Havent had the ricer feeling in over 10 years. Ordered some DDM HID for the RX. OEM HID is the only option this is missing that would have beeen nice to have.
Wife has been complaining poor light output, due to her being used to driving the RCF all the time.
$50 poorer. Lets see how it turns out when I receive it.
My FJ Cruiser and Civic Si only other in fleet with OEM halogens..and I am perfectly fine with them. Guess wife is too picky
Wife was complaining about headlight output, since we live in the hills and there is no street lights and lots of deer and bear
added DDM hid kit. 4300k . Took about 15 minutes
hard to show results during day but very happy with it
Neighbor bought a $81,000 truck few months ago. Decided to spend $3k on wheels/tires and $5K on suspension setup. He wanted to try it out.
We did about 55 miles of trail riding all day yesterday.
My RX kept up everywhere we went. So smooth, with A/C on , offroading.
Of course the RX has never seen dirt before. But with all malls closed - lots of dirt yesterday, deers, goats, and car did fantastic...and some pinstripes too....
Don't know how I missed this thread before but the new RX thread got me over here. Enjoyed your Civic thread and I like this one too. I like it when people take care of their vehicles like you do.........and oddly like I do. Go figure. Nice job again and nice RX.

Thank you for the kind words
as much as I hate CUV - I was driving it yesterday and thinking to my self --- aah the soft headrests are so nice ! Must be getting old
then slapped myself and got in my 84 FJ60 to nurse myself back to manhood ---- hehe
Nothing much to report
Time For maintenance
No more oil leaks s
no more clicking from climate control
no more having to double check passenger door to see if it locks or not.
time to enjoy a cold iced tea and stare at Moonroof heaven
supposedly:
I just received p0440, p0441, and p0446 codes again, and the VSC, Trac off, and check engine lights are on. I have cleared the codes and they stay off for several days/weeks and several hundred miles. I believe they have to do with the emission control module (according to Auto Zone), but I don't know what to do to keep them off. I have been very careful to only fill the gas tank to the automatic shutoff and add no extra gas, and to screw the gas cap on tightly, usually tightening the cap into the clicking noise three times. I have a CD service manual, but cannot find these codes in the manual. Can anyone give me additional things to check and fix. Thanks in advance for your help.
