I never smelled anything on Sunday and I double checked the tires and fenders tonight to be sure. No sign of rubbing anywhere. The rims are 42mm offset and they are darn close to the threaded collars up front but show no sign of ever touching.

I have a set of 17x9 ET45 that I need to run spacers with. I picked them up used figuring they will be good for wets.

Just looked at the pics again...you're on the new NASA Hoosier? I was on the "old" Toyo RR. So, probably not identical width. I've got Apex Arc-8's in 17x9 ET42. Running 12mm spacer up front. Could probably do with less spacer, but it is what I had. Buddy runs different brand rim, same specs, same tire and we put 5mm on his to get it off the front fender, but also off the strut.

And for the rocker moldings, I just bought a bag of the white clips from Rock Auto. Is there where you're using the 2 sided tape? I thought for sure I'd need to tape it and/or rivet it, but the replacement clips did the trick for me.

The tape was used on the trim halfway up the door. You can see the back side of the trim with the clips broken off across the bottom of the tape picture. One piece, the entire method of attachment split out of the molding. There is a paper thin plastic part that holds the clips. In order to use the tape I filled the back of the molding with that bumper repair product from 3M, it laid out flat and stays flexible.

Yes, the Hoosiers. I bet they are only about 5mm off the collars on the struts with no spacers and the same rims as yours.
