Pulled it onto the driveway to give it its first wash in god knows how long. Put the steelies on because they have enough lug engagement and I didn't have time to swap the studs yet
Perhaps an even cuter face than an NA Miata?
going up a steep hill with the wheel cranked, I guess it decided for me that the fenders are getting cut and widened
Gixx,
What size tires are on the front? Fingers crossed I won't have issues....
In reply to TurboFource :
205s, I think the issue is mostly the 0 offset wheels, though, with maybe like a 10-ish offset it would probably be fine
made it to caffeine and octane, they parked me at the featured section. never had a car where people just film you or wave at you, pretty different experience
scrubbing a bit, might have to go home and get the sawzall before I drive
unfortunately wasn't the coolest car there
Also my girlfriend came from Jordan semi recently, so she hasn't been exposed to American car culture much. So today we found out she really likes Donks, which I wouldn't have predicted
In reply to gixxeropa :
Congrats on being in the top dog arena at the cars and coffee
Bonus points for the sweet Suzuki shirt!
In reply to NY Nick :
Thanks! Going to thrift stores pays off sometimes

great, sitting in traffic leaving the event it didn't get hot or anything, made it all the way home. definitely need to get a larger front or smaller rear sprocket though, gearing is a bit off
Need some inspo for fender flares, probably gonna go 2-ish inches on the front, doesn't need it on the back but I might do it just for visual balance, maybe put some spacers on the rear too
this is still my favorite i think
this one is a bit more classic, I kinda like it. I've got a twincam front spoiler to put on it and I'm considering fender vents as the front end gets a bit light at speed for sure
edit: Had a weird thing where the first picture of the europa with flares would show up on mobile but not desktop, deleted it and readded, seems to be working now
Dude let me know next time! I need an excuse to take the Lotus out. Congrats on a successful car show morning!
In reply to maschinenbau :
I think I sent you an email, but it might have ended up in spam or something. I think I'll take it to the other show you mentioned next time, C&O was fun for one time, but its a bit much haha

Just came across this build thread as a result of your post in the "Project Car" group on reddit. Very cool project. I hate people like you who actually get E36 M3 done, while my projects linger on for years and years.

This is my mantra, still a long time before I'll call it "done" but at least it's on the road
installed a battery cutoff, less for safety and more so I don't have to break out the wera 5mm Allen key to unhook the battery
started chopping the wheel wells, green tape is the max I'd go. front of the cut looks a little bit weird because if I cut further forward there's a reinforcing rib I'd cut into
ripped out the moldy old firewall installation
big chunk of firewall came with it. Guess I need to get on fixing that sooner rather than later
For now I am pretending my firewall doesn't need attention....the seats will hide it ;)
I've been looking at the vintage bucket/bomber seats and then I realized that a gokart seat might actually be perfect for this along with a head pad on the firewall
Interested to see how that works out!
mini lathe acquired. not for Europa purposes but have some personal projects in mind
Sold a bunch of parts today including my windshield. Feels good to not have a nearly thousand dollar piece I'd loose glass hanging around. Getting rid of some seats freed up a lot if space
