axles were the part that were holding this up, but they're finally on their way back from the machine shop so I should be able to make more substantial progress soon. Pretty pumped to get it going, I'm taking some time off work coming up so I'm hoping to have it mostly finished by new years

Put the alcantara headliner in (mostly), need to put in the headliner, A pillar trim, and dashpad before the windshield goes in.
also made a couple of straps for the fuel cell
I see the heater inlet is blocked off, what are doing for heat?
I'm not planning on having a heater, as my plan is to use it mostly on the track and occasionally on nice days in the spring and summer. If I end up having an issue with fogging on the windshield or something I'll probably just rig up something electric under the dash. (steal a hair dryer from a hotel and wire it in)

You are correct.
They weighed in at 9.5 pounds according to my bathroom scale, not bad at all. 13x6, not sure if I'm gonna use these as my street wheels or for track. I have a set of nascar steelies that are like 12 pounds that currently have my slicks on them.
the eagle has landed. Now things can really get going
First step is to get it ready for the body to go on. Partial disassembly then put the padding on the backbone. I'm going with closed cell neoprene foam

Maybe I could find space to ratchet strap on a fuel tank . But honestly it should be pretty quick to drop the body on, so I'll probably just exercise a little bit of patience

Yes, it basically sandwiches the body between the frame and roll bar assembly thing.
shifter and cable mostly done. Put in some rivnuts for the shifter for ease of installation. Then put padding on the backbone of the chassis. 3/8 inch neoprene. Body will hopefully go on tomorrow if no issues are found
went ahead and cut out this rear panel for better airflow, still need to clean it up with the sander. Had been deliberating on it but decided I should go ahead and do it before the body was on so there's nothing behind it to damage. I don't know how I got on before I got an oscillating multi tool
Body off would be an ideal time for a quick test run, to make sure everything mechanical works as it should while you still have ample access to it... just saying.
