I wouldn't buy any extended warranty, but certainly not one for a truck where all the scary bits are already covered for so long. They're just insurance that locks you into using a terrible provider and then tries to avoid paying at all costs.
Granted, I have the tools and ability to fix 99% of things at home, and a big repair wouldn't ruin my life like it would some people's, but by definition you're more likely to come out ahead by putting that warranty cost in your own savings account and saving it for repairs.
(sorry, rant over)
We think alike then.
I've tried the local ford dealer fast charger for 30 min this morning and got 58 kwh. I was also not charged. I used a local Tesla fast charger and also go 58 kwh but in 24 min. (it peaked at 175 kw and was labeled 250kw vs the ford charging system average of 106 kw.) The 58kw cost me ~30.75 dollars at $0.53/kw, though this morning before my nacs adapter arrived that same station showed $0.43/kw.
The Tesla charger is an older one, and i nearly had to run the red/white stand over to get the charge port close enough to reach with the cable. I also got a LOT of big buy eyes from the ladies charging their tesla's on either side of me. Strangely, I figured there would be some conversation but no one wanted to talk.
I'll say that if i could have specified a truck like yours w/o the gigantic touch screen i would have. I am not a fan at all. but everything else of the truck makes up for it.
Blue cruise is cool, but also nerve wracking and I just do not see myself using it or needing it.
The truck is quiet, comfortable (though i liked my 2014's seats better, they just felt like th ey were higher quality). The version of BO for the stereo is decent though i feel like for a Lariat it should be a level nicer (like the plat gets apparently).
The frunk is super useful and I've used it a ton already.
My local power company is a coop that offers reduced power pricing per kwh if i get a submeter and let them install a time device of some kind to the charge circuit. My panel is a 200A max rated panel and it's COMPLETELY full. So I'll most likely add a sub panel at the same time I add the outlet for the home charger. If it was a more modern service I would do the work myself. But last time I added a subpanel I fried 0 gauge wire in an arc accidentally touching the mains and went from holding wire to barehanded. Somehow miraculously not getting burnt by the wire that vaporized in said hands.
Note: I keep finding references to ford sending me a home charge station but not where I sign up or can find out when it would arrive. Due to this I went ahead and ordered a Universal Tesla charger that will be here monday. I work from home and most of the time will have little need for the faster charging, but in 13 hours of 110v charging last night, i got 12 miles of range... Our standard rate is $0.13/kwh here, so even at the standard rate there are substantial savings to be had charging at home. Enough that i've mentioned the wife may need to think of a Mach E or some other EV as her next car for her daily commute.
Sadly it got dark before I remembered to take a picture of the truck that was not me sitting at the tesla station..
oh telling the truck to precondition from the restaurant today was awesome, getting in with it defrosted, warm, and the seats heated was quite enjoyable.
