The release button is hard to push and get it to release. Sometimes I have to pull on the hood and move it around while pushing the button. It is functional but a little annoying.
Tag, title, and registration are done.
For those who care to know, trying to title a junkyard car that was sold as parts only is extremely complicated. Luckily, the place I bought it from has a used car dealership and they helped me. I had to show them proof of my repairs and have inspections done, then a lot of paperwork. In the end, it was deemed road worthy.
Now I can finish getting the body panels straight, fix the hood release, and start getting the car in shape for autocross.
Things have progressed quickly in the last week. Pimpm3 had placed his 99 Porsche Boxster for sale and I jumped on it. I will start a separate build thread for that one. Unfortunately, this means that the 944 will go up for sale.
I am waiting for the title to come in the mail, then I will post it in the Open Classifieds section.
You didn't like my idea of showing a picture of the 944 in the driveway, then a picture of the Boxster in the same spot, and saying that your improvements turned the 944 into a mid-engined convertible? I mean, they are both black Porsches . . .
