I considered the 2zz for a long time, but all the ones I found were beat and/or well into the excessive oil consumption phase of their lives.
I’m looking to go 1nz. Not really near my initial power goals, but should be good and nice in there. I want to develop the chassis, then build power.

Thank god you've got the right attitude about it. Some guys in the 4A-GE world forget the engine is +30 years old and don't appreciate youngins like me who go "Yeah, that ported head and New Zeland-sourced intake is cool, but a current engine from a Scion would have done the same for way cheaper..."
So now its a race to see who gets the 1nz in their tercel first :p
