Oh he'll yes!
BOING! This is great stuff. Do you have spare fenders to close in that space forward of the firewall, or cut and bend sheet metal, to lengthen the fender? It looks like you're some trimming and mounting tabs away..... Excuse me, I have to go find my box of tissues, lol.
Not we're cookin' with gas! You have instantiated a new level of cool. This how I'm hoping a 68 Mustang fastback will sit on my chassis some day.
Went back a few pages to see that your car has a roof halo, not side hoops. That will make rebuilding those pillar bars to match the body much simpler.
Done for the day. Its time to clean up and clean out, fine tune things, haul off scrap, chop up the doors, then remake the cage tube we chopped out.
Steve is an awesome, awesome man to pitch in yet again on another of my lunatic fringe projects. I truly wouldn't have gotten here without him.
Love this project!
Leave the rear paint alone and paint the hood and fenders blue with white stars!
Given my affliction with all things Mustand II, I have been keeping my eye out for an old Baby Grand chassis from the late 70's or early 80's when the MII would have been running. I'm afraid that I'm about 20 years too late though.
Thanks everyone!
Just a side note: its low enough it hit going up onto the four post lift. My inner minitrucker is freaking stoked.
Today is cleaning up, gutting doors if i can fix the plasma, and resetting. I need to stare and drink coffee at it.
Maybe do a real update tonight. Maybe watch star wars with the family. We'll see what happens.
You'll need to log in to post.
