Im hoping to bring a well sorted, proven car next year. I WAS hoping for this year, but this may be the most ambitious project that i have ever undertaken. And this year has NOT gone according to plan.....

Just because.
Theres no rod knock or noisy lifters that can't be ignored while whacking the throttle with openheaders.
And I bet, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to keep a silly grin off your face.
Te real bitch of a well done custom wiring job is that it looks no different than factory, or is so well done and tidy that no one ever notices it.
See what i mean?
We have spark!
Plug wires, vacuum caps, upper intake and throttle body, intake piping, and test fire!
In reply to Patrick :
In theory sinister performance tuned out vats entirely.....
I like clean wiring. Did it for years for extra money.....
3 vacuum caps, one hose, and a couple of holes to plug.
We hope to pull the pin Friday night
Edit: the reason for waiting is so dad can be there with me. Him and i both need that moment together with this thing.
Your engine bay looks incredible! This is the best Challenge Miata since the 1UZ swapped winner of 2010. Looking forward to 2019 - Year of the crazy all-aluminum 6-cylinder swap. You, me, and lil Nelson so far.

Don’t give him too much credit he has an iron block
In reply to EastCoastMojo :
The ground was handy and the right lenth.
Engine bay photographs well, but needs quite a bit more tidying up before ill call it good enough.
Pat and machine; yup. Missed the all aluminium part. The iron block on this is painted aluminium, so im close!
I want to wire up the obd2 port before firing. I have found the signal wire from the gm ecm (i think) but cannot seem to understand which pin in the port carries the canbus data. Any ideas?
Looking at the front, where you plug in the scanner, how are the pins numbered?
Thanks pat. I trust you far more than the conflicting information on Google.
Saturday i hope to get it outside to run for a little bit. Assuming it has a cooling system in place.
Congrats man!! Gotta feel great to finally start it after all the work y’all put in. Looking forward to first drive video.
