I just found this thread dead after seeing mention of the loss of the car in another thread. I won't post the link out of respect for you Mr. Mazdeuce- but I did find it on copart. Based on my halfassed investigative skills (I looked at some pictures while drinking a caffeine and listening to Doc McStuffins and my wife do her job) I think I know what happened, and I totally respect not wanting details to get out. Sorry to see it go, but at the same time I know you're chasing a Callaway right now- and that's a worthy replacement pursuit if I've ever seen one.
Aw man poor Mazda2 didn't deserve an untimely death
Since Mr. Mazdeuce won't say what happened, allow me to fill in the details: the car was attacked by Ninjas.
That's right, Ninjas were trying to assassinate a high-ranking government official and Mr. Mazdeuce happened upon the scene. Thinking quickly, he sprang into action and launched the Mazda2 across a field, putting his rallycross skills to use as he dodged incoming rounds (did I mention that they were very modern Ninjas are modern and carry guns?) and landmines (dropped by the Ninjas) and scooped up the government official. He then jumped over an open drainage ditch and escaped the onslaught of the attackers, only to be rammed by a P72 (the armored version of the P71). Despite the damage and pain, Mr. Mazdeuce pressed on, his mighty Mazda2 pulling away and putting a safe distance between him and the melee he left behind. The official was safe from harm, but the poor Mazda2 was beyond repair.
I know your modesty keeps you from revealing your heroism, but we all know a superhero when we see one.

This is incredibly unsatisfying. To the Google!

There's enough clues in this thread to locate it. Took me no time whatsoever. BUT- the ninja theory is totally correct, so no need to look.

Google Foo is failing me. Can't find the car on Copart, must have gone already. Tried every search I can think off, no luck. Damn, I might have to respect Mazduces privacy or something. WTF is the interent coming too when a dude can keep his mouth shut when he wants.
More seriously. I hope everyone is OK whatever happened.

this begs the question ... with what we have for a government .... why in the world would anyone risk their car to save a government official ?
