Ever since I replaced the lifters last summer, the little green Dodge has been an absolutely unremarkable vehicle to own. Yesterday, the battery crapped out on me. It could be that it was 9*F outside, or it could be that the battery was old.
Almost 10 years of reliable service from a battery?
In my neck of the woods, that's pretty uncommon. We see summertime temps up to 105 degrees regularly, followed by winter temps that often drop to -5. It's hell on batteries. Normal life expectancy is 5-6 years before the hot/cold cycles kill them.
Anyway, new battery went in, truck started right up, and away we went!
