So, there's an update! As of right now it sounds like yours truly will be hopping a plane on Monday the 27th (pending final confirmation from work) and hitting PA later that afternoon. Being as it is my birthday, I will probably be ambushed with shenanigans by my parents. I'm am shooting for a 29th departure, at which time I will haul ass west. I've been threatened that if I did it stop in at least indy and Illinois, I'll be murdered. Apparently ive made friends on here. I also have family in chi-town, so there is that. More infor as time warrants.

As far as epic wagon, I'd argue that your wagon might be more epic..... But thanks for the encouragement!

Aaaaaand miyuki is officially a Minnesota resident. At least as far as her tags go. She's still soaking up rays further east. Of course the dmv was not without adventure.....
Get to DMV. DMV line is literally out the door. Like, I'm peering into the nail salon next door pondering a Mani/pedi. Fortunately this DMV is staffed with a gift from god, the Asian DMV girl of efficiency. I swear she is the fastest DMV person on earth. Being that I now own 7 cars and this DMV is within walking distance of my home, I know the place well. So I get up for my turn, and within 15 seconds and me not saying a word she has all the paperwork for an out of state transfer. Hands it over, tells me what to fill out and sends me off. Total time, 30 seconds. I like where this is going. I bang out my paper so we can get going and bring it back up...... And then I get the whammy. DMV girl is so efficient she is 3 people past me and I've been given to a guy I'll call b-squad mike. B-squad is nice and all, but had the speed of frozen oatmeal going uphill. He ponders his way through my paper and says "OK, how much did you pay for it"..... Oh lord here we go. Mike, buddy, its on the MD title. I paid 400$ cash. Some more shuffling "OK when did the vehicle first arrive in the state". This one threw him off. " its not here. Its in PA. I'm getting plates and FedExing them to myself care of my parents place. I will then fly out, put plates on car, and drive car home." See in MN plates go with the car so they get issued at the DMV and were a no inspection state... So they don't need to see it. The concept however is lost on b-squad. It is mutually decided that the car officially crossed state lines today, so as far as MN is concerned miss miyuki is in my garage right now. This satifes the DMV monkeys. Much stamping of paperwork and the exchange of 100$ us currency and I am handed plates that rhyme. Her new tag? 171-pun. I am happy.
Did you just give put your plate number?!?! You're supposed to blur it out so no one can take over your life or something!
I'm jealous as heck. Wagons rock and always have. But that's coming from a guy who's heavily looked into tricking out minivans.

I did just give out my plate number. Its an MN plate too, and you've all seen the car, so now you can do whatever nefarious deed one does with that information.
I feel like there should be a wagon-fest somewhere. A yearly gathering where wagons and wagon lovers from all over could come to share their love of wagons. Lowered wagons, lifted wagons, stock wagons, project wagons, just wagons of every size and shape. You should make this happen for us mndsm.

I.... I probably could. But because I'm lazy, you would have to come to me. There's a lot of local wagon fans though.
I don't even own a wagon and I would come to that!

That's 3 people, were only one down on the attendance record for my first ever organized event, which had a whole 4 attendees!
You make it some where close to me (Anywhere in a 6 hour drive from here (High points are Chicago and Indy) and I will be there, in the Saab Sportcombi.

I'm in Minnesota, its a lot easier to organize some place I can see. So there is that.
I could make Minnesota in the summer, but the wagons are home in Texas then.
I'm in for a wagonfest! 12 hour trips are nothing in a turbo Volvo wagon.
I could probably buy a small wagon and haul it up there. I need a cottage car anyway.

Hm. Now this makes me think this has legs. We have a pretty heavy food scene here, and we have a good beer scene. I bet I could get a brewery on board.

Wagons, food, and beer? I may never leave.
Not for nothing but many other publications have been into wagons for a while now too. If someone where to try and make this a legit for-profit event I bet it would really take off.
I'm down but only if it's opened up to vans also.
They have to park down by the river.
Depending on a date and time i may be able to make it in the wagon, as long as i can find a route there that doesnt involve alot of 4 lane highways.

Are people actually interested in this? Also, I can make the river thing happen too. Thr Mississippi is basically outside my window.
