You talking host hotel? Or track? We will find something for you to do, even if it's just to drape yourself across the hood and look hawt.

I'd be in Gainesville probably around 7-8am, then help out with grease monkey duties until maybe 8-9ish PM? It's a 2 hour both ways
Edit: I just realized what you meant. I would be helping at either the hotel or the track, wherever my assistance is needed

i just got back home from BMW Performance Center West in Thermal CA. T minus 5 available days to button up a few things before Quasi and I hit the road on Thursday 4/4. Only a few minor tasks and one major-ish task remain at this point. Y'all better bring your A games, because i'm surely bringing mine.

I have a question AngryCorvair. Not about your build in particular but about Corvair mid-engine swaps in general. I have been playing with the idea of picking up a corvair and going the mid-engine route with it. Was wondering if this particular idea would work. Take a Porsche transaxle of whatever version and flip it around(now you have 5 reverse gears and one forward gear) and then pair it with a reverse-rotation marine v-8. In theory that should again give you 5 forward gears and one reverse gear correct? Used Porsche transaxles and marine v8s seem a bit more in line with the budget I would want to spend. It would just be a mild 250HP or so build. Or am I missing something entirely(aside from the relative weakness of some Porsche transaxles.)
