Very cool car, ya know if you turn that scoop around there's some ram air effect to be had. From what I hear a fire ball shoots out the exhaust when you snap the throttle shut, sometimes lol! oops just saw it' glassed in, never mind.

I wanted a stealthy look lol
it's a cobra style scoop which hides the air cleaner
I like the cowl induction look
the car hides the v8 very well, if you didn't know it was a v8 by walking by it, you will when it starts.
this year I want to finish the new rear, the fuel sender unit needs install and a few odds and ends.
I'd like to bring if to bugeyeguy.com near my house for the body work and paint.

The cowl induction is probably easier to tune and I doubt you'll miss the extra HP. Thinking about it now, I originally wanted a cowl pick up but the curve on the hood and scoop would have placed the closed end down by the valance. Looks like a great build, wish I was in the area.

I bought it 25 % done
that doesn't happen here.

It's hard not to love this car.

Thanks
I do wish it was easier to turn at slow speeds
the lack of power steering, heavy motor and posi rear with short wheel base makes it a handful
Very nice ride you have there. Have to agree with AngryCorvair, you'll fit right in. I guess the black Volvo doubles as a "protector", judging from the decal. Nice work.

I wish the car had room for a electric power steering pump
there's barely room for my size 13 feet
if I find a simple setup like a saturn vue unit or a mini unit I'll go through the thought process
I was told "just steer it with your right foot"
lol

someone changed glock to clock
that's my old car, 98 v70r turbo
at 260k miles I still have it

What Posi do you have in there?
I have a Detroit TrueTrac in my V8 Pontiac Firefly (Chevy Sprint), and other than a LOT of caster it steers really well, and not a handful at all. Except in the rain. And loose gravel. And slightly sandy pavement. And snow, especially snow.
I fully approve of this build.
In reply to SkinnyG :
I'm not that up knowledgeable with Ford 9" rears
I know it's posi and I checked the ratio 3.45 or so
In reply to SkinnyG :
I liked the sprint turbo
3 cylinder
but a v8? wow
a good car to install a motorcycle motor into
I'd trade my bugeye for a lotus super seven
lol
In reply to SkinnyG :
I wish I could build like you did
mine has a updated front end with the lever shocks replaced with a arms and tube shocks
I need to have a new rear made
mine is 33" wide...er I mean the car's
