My good friend passed away earlier this year and had about 30 cars in his yard and garages.  I am helping his wife catalog and sell the cars and was able to identify just about all of them, but this one I could use assistance on.  Originally I thought it was a studebaker, but I can't find any exact matches.  He had 2 of them with one being in better condition and the 2nd to be used as a parts car.  They have been outside for years, so not in the best shape.  See pics of both cars.  Any assistance would be appreciated

Chevy Business Coupe (aka Chevy Deluxe Coupe, I believe)?

EDIT: Looks like it's the regular Deluxe Coupe, not the Business Coupe  or Deluxe Bel Air, since it has taller profile rear windows. The one below is a business coupe

EDIT: Still thrown off a bit by the rear window. Most pics I find have it fully swept to the rear corner. The ones you have seems to have a "hofmeister kink" (before it was named that), so maybe some variant. I'm not an expert in these, just good at internet searches lol.

EDIT: Ok, it's a '49, which had that shape rear window (see a couple posts down)

made a few edits. I think I'm close, but may want to wait for more of an expert on that era to chime in.

Also, maybe ask for it to be moved to the main forum in stead of project car area?

Actually, looks like the '49 had that rear window style, so that's actually what it probably is
