You could have at least gotten a picture of the good side. Thanks for having me and letting me enjoy an evening with your wonderful family.

I mean, I'd think you could swap that rear casting in a pinch, but probably better to get whoever you bought the starter from to get you the right part.
When the bearing on the tensioner pulley on my 2001 needed replacing I went to the dealer for the part and also got a new idler pulley at the same time. The new parts had the smooth and grooved pulleys swapped (my tensioner pulley was smooth and idler was grooved, the new tensioner was grooved and idler was smooth, or vice versa). I brought them back, they checked the part numbers and they were right according to Jaguar's computer. I googled and found that Jaguar expects you to update the entire FEAD to the 4.2L version but they don't have any way to let the parts people know that, there's just a note that the new part supercedes the original but no explanation about the changes. The same web page that explained this also had part numbers for the individual bearings so I was able to get them from a local bearing company and just replace the bearings.
So it's possible that these are the "correct" parts according to Jaguar and there's a way to make it work that "simply" requires a whole bunch of extra expensive parts.

What you get?
He was on his way to go grab this today, and dropped off a transmission and some Bilsteins.
I need to get the windshield replaced and a few other minor things done. I'm pretty sure my time with the car is going to come to an end. Insert sad face.
I would totally buy it if i didn't just buy my dream car. Just for the noises it makes with the cutouts open

You can't own them all if you keep them all! What's in the pipeline?
Sadly, nothing special. I've parked the big for the past three weeks, in favor of dailying the Prius because of the economy (specifically inflation and gas prices, premium near $6/gallon). I don't have the heart to let sit and rot without being driven, and I don't think the economic conditions will improve in the next three years.

It does sound glorious on full song with them open. The burn out video several pages back is musical bliss.

Car bought. Lunch eaten. Heading North.
Teaser pics
Currently at Walmart to purchase wiper blade.
Over 3 years after the fly and buy, Indy-kid #1 got her first chance to drive (on her learner's permit) the Jaaaaag.
She observed that it drives much nicer (& faster) than the Prius.

I was looking at the first picture and thought wow they were so young. Only three years and they've both grown so much.
Officially listed for sale.
Read the ad and it's great except the last paragraph makes it sound like an auto-generated ad. Maybe it's supposed to just be a bunch of keywords but, to me, it casts a shadow on an otherwise great and apparently honest ad

Tags in craigslist ads are so annoying.

Updated.
When you have an unusual marque, it doesn't usually have a lot of targeted searches. That mumbojumbo helps get a few more eyes on it.
I actually, really forgot that craigslist existed,
Has it gotten viable again?
Am I missing out?
GLWS... love the jag.
Yes. Agreed about trying to get eyes on it.
And what I like about Craig's is that you can just search titles.
good fix. And good luck with the sale - doesn't seem like a high price to me
