That thing is pretty comparable to my 09 Hyundai Genesis 4.6. I hit back-to-back 14.8's at 97 mph (at the same track too). Always wondered how the supercharged jags compared, now i have a pretty good idea.

I'm liking this one a lot. Love the integration with the marker light.

That's not a good comparison of what the supercharged jags can do. 14.9 was my first ever drag pass, so rookie mistakes. Later in the day it ran a 14.3 on old crap tires. The car is better than the driver still.
Here are the slips:
Ok guys here's version 2, because bigger is better.
Side marker lights are functional:
What do you think?
In reply to Indy-Guy :
1i regret that I have only one + to give!
I recommend having this done in silver chrome vinyl.

I need a black vinyl cat!
Are you thinking of the white being your color added or the black? I'm thinking that if you make the black lines silver that would rock...
I like it a lot, but what about the number panels? (This is coming to the challenge right? I can't remember.)
In reply to John Welsh & maschinenbau :
Silver is a good suggestion, it would look amazing on the car, but I'm undecided. Will the Silver stand out enough? Is Silver "Race Car" enough? I'm not sure. If the livery was going to be permanent, I would almos surely go with it. However..... The staff asked last year (maybe two years ago) for entrants to go with more bold colors. Too many tan and white cars show up at the event.
That's why I'm leaning toward neon green; and if I was artistic enough, I'd try to incorporate the "Monster Energy" claw marks into the scratched up front bumper, hood, fender.

The black lines will be produced and transfered in the color I choose.

yeah, version 3 will incorporate the positioning of the number panel, which is probably going on the rear door. I also have to figure out how the sponsor panel (just announced today) will incoporate into it all.

Can you get "chrome" vinyl? Or maybe a JPS homage in Gold?

Yes, "Chrome" vinyl is available..... That's one of the options I've been debating with my inner monologue (i.e. talking to myself) about. Bear with me.... The Jaguar profile and classic hood ornaments are called "Leapers"..... well, what if I incorporated the large Leaper on the side of the car (as shown above) and then continued some of the highlighting lines of the John Player Special Livery, but instead of Black and Gold, make it Black and Silver...... and change the name to John Leaper Special.
Or, copy the Monster energy black and florescent green style, and call it " Jaguar Energy"
What do you all think? and should I post this question out in the GRM main forum?
It all looks pretty crazy-awesome to me!
The whole number plate and sponsor section could be a big problem. Forces you to go to the back fender, I guess.
So...... This happened:
It was a pre-Challenge GRM Jaaaaag Gastropod get together.
It was great to meet you white_fly.

Unfortunately, We didn't run them.
However, We did trade keys and go for a little drive..... Maybe it's just optimistic thinking, or that I'm more familiar with my own car than his, but his Jaaaaag didn't that much faster than mine.
We'll find out in Gainesville in a few weeks.
You'll need to log in to post.
