That car you ran in 2016 was awesome. i watched live before i ever attended. was one of my favorite cars as its one ive always wanted. My rx7 will be back next year and that car has a 10 in it, plus it handles. so the other car i bring will be solely to race the nelsons lol
Thanks for the heads up!
Tap, tap, tap.....Calvin, pull some of those parts off shelf number 2.....

I anticipate 1 of 2 things. Records will be broken, or cars will!
I can bring tissues if you want.

Be right back I gotta go make popcorn.
To be fair, calvin knows, i have built some fast cars. However i have a lot to learn from them. Im just in for a good time.
But i also don't plan to lose lol

So we have a few folks interested in a good old fashion drag race brall....Patrick, Jonathan, Calvin, Cameron and myself....someone want to start a thread on the $2000 page?
On the record i'm only guessing 12's in 2021, not bringing an LSanything. Someone find me a cheap or trade worthy crank so i can assemble the $200 LY6.
Alright you two, back on topic! John, you said you wanted a car that required a parachute, well here's a car that requires one. Lol
Just promise you'll bring the Eagle to the Challenge next year please, then you may get back on topic. After all, this is a Challenge car thread, right?
you can have that car. i only have so many sfi pants. and from the looks of it, i would need a new pair after every pass in that lol.

Sounds like a good idea. i might see yall at drag week prior to the challenge. But thats TBD.
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
Ill keep my eyes peeled for one. I might know of one. ill find out today.
This car needs a shark fin for stability.
In reply to TheV8Kid :
Hey Calvin-congrats on the 9.85! What caused the instability towards the end of the run?
In reply to CrustyRedXpress (Forum Supporter) :
What actually caused it was the transmission. The trans just shifts too hard, causing the tires to break loose. What compounded that is the fact that it has an open diff, and the lack of roll resistance. We need a sway bar. Could probably use a tailwing while we are at it.
At least thats the running theory at the moment.

In reply to wheels777 :
You have no idea how aggravating it is to be .003 off the list
In reply to wheels777 :
Andrew, of all those sub 12 second passes, how many were made by a Nelson? And, I assume the fastest ten are all you guys?
In reply to wheels777 :
If the budget drag car doesnt make it my fox will under exhibition. Getting nhra certified is a higher priority. And i know the notch would be the fastest car there lol
But still moving forward on the new challenge car.
