The silver neon went to the crusher but pulled my last part i need.
Doing some updating on the interior of artic. Made a gauge holder for the radio hole. Its at the powder coaters as we speak. Got a oil pressure gauage to go into the last hole to go with the other 2. 500w mini amp for the tunes.
Well heck. I'm new to the Neon/PT/Dodge,Plymouth/Chrysler love (always thought the 80s stuff was cool, just didn't know too much @ Neons and the like).
Thank You for all the knowledge, Prof. Really great, plentiful, and CHEAP platform.
Waiting on my warranty Gauage, and my gauge holder from the powder coaters.
In other news.... New year, new car?

There is a guy local to me with about 20-30..... I have been trying to buy his for years
Got my tps issue fixed.... 1 new connector, 2 new tps sensors and a pcm later we are good as new.
Back story.... Late dec the car lost cruise and started to have hot start issues, had a cel for tps. Pulled tps and bench tested it and it tested bad, replaced with a part store unit.
Week later same thing, went to unplug it and the plugin terminal was damaged.... Did a rewire on plugin and tested sensor.... New sensor was bad, so i stole one off my other 2.4 getting ready to go into a car and bench tested it and it tested good so it went in.
Few days later another cel for tps popped up so i tested sensor and wiring and it tested fine..... Weird. Swapped in another pcm and that was my issue. I knew this day was coming but it still throws me off gaurd.
Working on brakes and new struts and mopar lowering springs and just notised how tight a 3" stainless exhaust is on a Omni.
Was working on the GLH-T last night getting the heat to work, was running the car to make sure it warmed up fine, and the hood was up and i was standing there texting and got coated in coolant..... The hose to the turbo split, upon inspection it was pretty jank anyways.
After cussing and figting to get a new hose to fit since every part store close to the house doesnt carry hose.... Got a hose heated and stretched to fit.... I am really upset im going to have to take it appart againt to get rid of the nasty worm clamps since I didnt have the right size spring clamps. Its a tight E36 M3ty place to work.
Been doing some driving with the glh to get a base line.... Its sketchy under boost on 20 year old tires. It mostly spins and creates zero forward momentum.
Little idle video
I test drove one back when they were new, it mostly spun the tires then, but once it hooked up you hoped you had it pointed in a straight line, my first experience with torque steer. A bit scary but LOTS of fun!
