Please get specialty car insurance on your specialty car.
Your story has finally convinced me to get specialty car insurance on my own El Camino. As of today, I have agreed-value comprehensive with Hagerty and it was surprisingly affordable. Hope I never have to use it, but I think I just bought a whole lotta feel-good for not a lotta money.
To everyone: do waht he did. We finally settled on me getting mildly screwed, but not the full jailhouse sodomy with the concrete dildo of hate they were trying at first.
Shoulda had specialty insurance.
The hulk was bought by my bodyman. Im unclear if hes going to attempt to salvage the body, or pull the body off and use the rest of it on a 65 convertible hes doing for a customer. Either way, its soul will continue on.
And uts wheels and steering wheel will be on the new drivabeater at some point.....
After reading the wording on progressives stated value insurance 3 years ago I went specialty insurance with stated value on my zephyr. I can't recommend the peice of mind enough. Just make sure if yours is similar too the company I use that you keep them updated on improvements too the car.
This thing was apparently fixed and sold to another gentleman who is going to enjoy it. He found me today, and im supposed to meet with him next week to go over the truck with him, ad well as see if i can figure out some drivability issues it has apparently developed since wrecking.
I sent the new owner a link to this thread, hopefully he will join us and continue to update it.
