Had a chance to add a resonator. The high pitch at high rpms was really annoying.
Last event of the year at blackhawk. Festiva did real good. Transmission and clutch performed real good. Hopefully next season i wont have any major mechanical issues and just time to focused on learning how to drive.
Winter project for the festiva. Change the headers/exhaust, reinforced the front end and hopefully find some 13x7 wheels that would fit. I would be modifying this honda b series tri-y header
Started to cut the honda flange off. Theres going to be alot of rearranging on the primaries but i think i could male it happen.

That actually looks fairly close, I modified a cheap Honda header to fit my early EW type Honda. Mine was far more difficult, the later Honda header had basically even port spacing, the older 3 valve ew had two pair of ports, two ports very close then a large gap then two ports very close.
You should be able to make that work, if the rest of it fits the car. Stainless is more difficult to work with, but the end result is better.

This is what we get for building something different. Lol

The spacing is closed but the pipes going down are offset to the left, it won't clear the oil pan

Lol. Easier to do the header. I think i got it all figure out. Waiting for a bp exhaust flange. Might have to move the radiator a bit to make it work.
No update on the header. Still waiting on the stainless flange. Decided to shave the valve cover. I really didnt like the ford logo on it and finding a mazda protege cover seems near impossible. Or way too overpriced
Had an oil leak from the oil pan while it was off decided to make some adjustments to the baffle plate. Made this plate to closed some gaps, hopefully it helps keeping more oil in the pickup around corners
Finally got a chance to start on the manifold. Going to need to move the radiator to make room for one of the runners. Also got my new wheels shipped from UK. What a hassle that was. But at least they got delivered.
Wheels mounted. What a difference on width with the correct wheel size will do. Once am done reinforcing the front end. I will get a pic on the ground
