Saw this and thought it might be useful to someone.
Yoke centerlines do not need to be parallel as long as they are equal angles to the driveshaft. This is vital for some applications. Bad and Terrible above can be fixed by moving the pinion up until the two u joint angles are the same.
Terrible can also be fixed by replacing the front U joint with a double Cardan.
