A little while back I was made an offer I couldn't refuse on an RX-7. The car is an S5 GXL that is completely stock (down to the factory adjustable suspension) that runs and comes with TWO spare engines. One is just a shortblock, the other is fully dressed and includes a wiring harness and ECU. It also includes a budget "race" seat that I am pretty sure just looks like a race seat and isn't in any way certified.
Price so far: $1500.
The problem was I have project overload and didn't have anywhere to put it. The seller graciously offered to store it for me until I could get a spot for it. I just purchased the car and I'm in the process of cleaning up a bunch of junk and putting everything for sale I don't plan to keep on Craigslist.
In the process of cleaning out the garage I found an eccentric shaft from one of my old RX-7s, a box of E30 BMW parts, a bunch of empty boxes I was saving if I ever wanted to ship something and my inch-pound torque wrench, which has been missing for 5 years or so.
I'm about 1/4 of the way done cleaning the garage, but I have the next 5 days off and it is an "indoor" job, even if my garage isn't heated. I just have to put my big boy pants on and get out there and do it.
Funny that a build thread is going to start with a major cleaning project and a bunch of Craigslist ads.
