Thanks for those vinyl pics.. that is exactly how I wanted to run it on ours. We don't have the trim that runs down the roof on the sides, but it'll still look good.
I'm not seeing any bumpers in the pics? Were they included?

beans- those look like early RX7, like '79-'80. Probably 13x5.5 or 6.
Aussie- what do you want for that RX2 grill?

I have a few extra 13x7 Diamonds, if they fit your yet-to-be-determined needs. Willing to trade for an older bus, or big-ass truck. Preferably a red one.
In the spirit of the HSR questions I asked the question

No problem with the pics.
I do not have the bumpers.
Yep, my RX2 ran in the RS series. They gave and took away various porting options trying to slow them down but keep them coming back. When the RX3 came out most guys switched to them.
So what was legal and when?
Are you interested in teaming up, we can do better deals for 2 cars and share info along the way.
I'm not sure which years they went from porting allowed, to no porting, to certain porting allowed. Much of it was before the RX3's were out there. If you throw a street port 12A in there nobody will ever bitch. I have a friend that has a P-port 12A in his RX2 and nobody cares. He only runs in SCCA vintage and it is a catch-all class. HSR and SVRA are a little different but I don't think I've ever seen a car even weighed at an event in over 25 years.
My RX2 is about 95% done. I just got an RX7 that I built an engine for and I'm plugging the driveline out of it into the RX2. I couldn't pass up the deal on the RX7 because I know I couldn't copy the engine for less than $5K(12A, new housings, ceramic seals, weber 48, lightened, balanced etc etc). The RX7 will then get a P-port 13b because it is also vintage legal. It already has the GTU body on it too.
I was business partners with Jim Susko when he started GForce Engineering. We had a couple RX7's we rented out in the early 90's. I'm sure we have a lot of info to trade back and forth The first race car I ever crewed for was a GT3 RX3 back in the mid 80's. One is on my list to own someday, maybe an SP for the street if I can find one. The guy I crewed for would test his race engines in an RX3 wagon on the street. Metallic green with wood grain side panels, surprised a lot of Corvette drivers!
Dude, awesome. I am currently looking for a donor car to do some B-Sedan/Trans Am 2.5 racing. I haven't decided on what to build yet, however. Anyway, I am out west, so I am not sure how pertinent this will be to your location, but here are some websites I have been using for research:

From what I can tell, you should be classed in Group 8 (8RS, according to https://www.svra.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Svra_Group_8_1213.pdf), which would put you running with the TA/BS group. Go for it. In Cal, we get large fields of BS cars and the racing is top-notch. Here is a vid from AAA Speedway last summer. You will notice a pretty fast red RX3 taking a prominent role.

I have an engine guy, he has built some very, very good 12a extend ports, but I want an engine to just get it sorted until that is built.
I had a 74 RX3 Coupe downunder, it was a Group 2E car with CAMS and I won the 1996 and 1997 VHCC Hillclimb championships with it. I have missed running one of these since I sold it to come to the USA.
FYI, some RX3 body metal on ebay right now. Both quarters and windshield surround. Looks like they cut up a clean car after a wreck.
Steve, if the class you end up in allows bridge-porting, you may want to call John. Just talked to him today, and he has enough stuff to get you probably 3 good engines, plus a couple Quaiffe 5-speeds. If he decides to run the GT-3 Miata again, he's going to 13b's.
