Did ya end up getting it for the weekend? Also by chance do you have an extra front spindle wheel bearing nut and castle nut cover doo-dad?

What do you need?
The punctuation is throwing me. Do you need: a front spindle +wheel bearing +Nut +castle nut +cover
or just the cover?
I have all of the above.
Rob R.
Yeah I got it. Now to hack it up!
I don't have any extra suspension bits lying around sadly. Haven't gotten to hoard that stuff yet.
In reply to wvumtnbkr:
sorry, let me rephrase/back story.
I have so much spare parts I built a spare front spindle assembly (driver and passenger side) w ball joints, new wheel bearings (had laying around for some reason) but the only thing I'm missing is the nut/castle nut.
Actually both covers are missing too, but I figured I could just swap them over from the set currently on the car.
Anyways, I hope this works:
I need:
x1 of 33-049
x1 of 33-042
and possibly x2 of 33-071 if you can spare em.
I probably have 2-3 other sets of bare left and right hand spindles.
Ohhhh, I get it.
I was going to get them off of my spare sets that are assembled. I would rather not do that if it is just to have spares.
I have the same setup including struts and brake calipers ready to go on the racecar if we had an issue. I would rather not split that up.
If you needed it to get your car together, I would part with them.
Sorry!

In reply to wvumtnbkr:
exactly! Yeah and I'm not in a hurry. Ideally I would like to have the brake setup with struts on there too but not enough spare parts. No worries, happy rotoring!
New mufflers coming tomorrow and new Stack water temp gauge coming (don't trust the stock unit) Thursday in the final thrash before the races this weekend.
Stock gauge... badddd.
There is a plug on the front iron (lower portion) that works great for a thermo fan switch or gauge probe.
Been a while and I'm overdue on updates. I got my mufflers (Moroso Spiral Flows) installed and they made the car tolerable. My exhaust now consists of a RB road race header, RB road race resonators and the aforementioned mufflers. There's no crossover point.
The hillclimb went off without a hitch, other than my exceeding breakout time twice and having to shut down for the weekend. Breakout was 4:20 (HA!) and my first run was a 4:21 followed by a 4:13.32, which felt pretty damn quick.
The next morning I missed the fam run because it takes me forever to belt in with my Hans and arm restraints, so my first run of the day would be my fam as well.
It didn't feel that fast so I though I would be above the breakout time. Nope. Ran a 4:13.68. DOH. Done for the weekend.
It was definitely a case of my getting used to the car, and now I know there's a lot more in it, which is good since the class-winning time was 4:00.55. I can definitely match that with a little more seat time.
On to the few pictures I have from the event!
I'll be taking the car to autocross this weekend, which should help me sort out the suspension settings a little more.
I think I need to go with a softer spring in the rear, as well as new shocks. These Koni yellows feel a little bagged out.
Since the race I've changed the transmission and diff fluid with Motul Gear 300. The diff oil looked nasty, likely with debris from the LSD clutches. The transmission oil didn't look that bad and there was just a little metal on the magnet. Good signs all around.
Next big project is adding a roll cage, which will end my breakout time woes and enable me to cut some more metal out of the car.
Set time for each hill. Faster than that and you're required to have a roll cage. Think drag racing.
Ah ok... so you can breakout and be DQ'd for going faster than 4:20 in this case, but someone else in your same class with a cage can win with a 4:00.
Makes sense. I was just making sure it wasn't bracket-racing type stuff or specific target times for your class.
Running like a top!
I got a new Stack water temp gauge I still haven't installed too. Gotta get that done.
Dunno why the diff fluid would look so rancid unless it's from the racing. I replaced the trans and diff fluid with Red Line only about a year before you bought the car.
Anyways, I'm glad to see my old RX-7 be put to the kind of good use I never had time for.
Got a full day of autocross in this weekend and definitely came up with a new to-do list:
BIG front sway bar
Fresh shocks in the rear
Install electric water pump and cut vents in hood
Get ass in gear on the widebody

Home made box flares via spare shell? JDM widebody from ebay? Mazdatrix? AWR Racing IT?
Surprise?
Excellent build either way.
